Natural Gas Hydrate (NGH)

New Method of Transportation for Natural Gas -
NGH In Safer and More Economical Way

In comparison with the existing Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) which is produced and stored at extremely low temperature of -162°C, the production cost for NGH is much lower. Although the NGH transportation efficiency is not as large as that of LNG due to smaller volume of the gas contained in the same volume transported, the facilities of NGH for production, storage, transport and gasification can be simplified because NGH requires milder conditions i.e. -20°C under atmospheric pressure. Eventually, the total cost of NGH supply chain including production, storage, transportation and gasification therefore is much lower than that of LNG.

Physical Property Data for NGH and LNG

NGH System Makes the Development of Small and Medium Unmonetized Gas Fields Possible

There are many small and medium gas fields in the world, which are not presently developed for economical reason, and their associated gas is barely utilized either. The total of such utilized gas resource is estimated about 40% of all natural gas reserve in the world. As a means of developing such abandoned natural gas reserve, which is no small amount, NGH is expected to play a significant role.
