BWSC obtained 2 orders of diesel power plants from Lebanon

The plants will be built at Zouk and Jiyeh close to Beirut with the electricity outputs of 194MW and 78MW respectively. The power plants consist of medium speed diesel engines fueled by heavy fuel oil with steam turbine generators. Consequently, they achieved 48% of electrical efficiency. They can be converted into gas fueled solution when LNG is available in the future.
Further, BWSC arranged the finance of HSBC guaranteed by Denmark’s Export Credit Agency called EKF.
Despite of the tense situation of Syria, the country is expected to continuously grow at high rate. Rapid development requires improvement of infrastructures such as power supply. Those plants are planned to deliver in the late of 2014.
BWSC undertakes the supply and construction of the complete power plant with diesel engines and biomass technologies on turnkey basis and provides Operation and Maintenance services for the lifetime of the plant. BWSC has supplied more than 160 power plants to 51 countries.
