MES has developed its businesses in China in a wide range of fields, including marine diesel engines, induction heating equipment, and manufacturing, sales and maintenance services for kitchen waste treatments facilities. Additionally, in Korea it has numerous achievements, such as the delivery of equipment for steel plants, as well as procuring equipment and materials for diverse businesses.
To facilitate the further expansion of business and strengthen its competitiveness as part of the common policy, “Deepening the management foundation,” set out in the 2017 medium-term management plan, MES has established MITSUI ZOSEN (CHINA) CO., LTD. in Shanghai, China, as a holding company (China regional headquarters) for the purpose of establishing a foundation for business expansion and promoting the efficient operation of its subsidiaries and affiliates. In addition, MES will open the Busan Representative Office in Busan, Korea, to expand global procurement.
From here on, MES intends to actively engage in businesses, taking advantage of the company and the office as bases for promoting globalization and business creation set out in the 2025 vision.
