New Order - 4 Container Handling Cranes for Indonesia's Belawan Port

Mitsui E&S Machinery Co., Ltd. (President: Ryoichi Oka) has been awarded by PT. Prima Terminal Petikemas (PTP) a contract to supply four (4) units of Mitsui-Paceco Portainer® (Shipt-to-Shore Gantry) cranes for their Belawan Container Terminal Phase II project in North Sumatera, the Republic of Indonesia. It is a part of procurement of equipment by the subsidiary company of PT. Pelabuhan Indonesia (Persero) for their Belawan Container Terminal expansion project which is scheduled to commence the operation within 2019. Including another two (2) units of Mitsui-Paceco Portainer® for neighbouring berth for domestic container handling in Belawan, we will complete the delivery of six (6) units of Mitsui-Paceco Portainer® in total by the end of 2019.

Belawan Port, located in the western part of the country consisting of a plenty of islands and facing on the Malacca Straits, is under the process of expansion development as the hub port in the western region of the country.

Recently in Indonesia, after completing the delivery of thirteen (13) units of Mitsui-Paceco Transtainer® in 2013 to the Port of Tanjung Priok in Jakarta, we have delivered eight (8) units of Mitsui-Paceco Portainer as well as twenty (20) units of Mitsui-Paceco Transtainer® for newly constructed PT. New Priok Container Terminal One (NPCT1) and intend to remain one of the most trusted Japanese crane suppliers in Indonesia which sets a national goal of Sea Toll Road Program.
