PowerX Begins Assembling Battery Units at MITSUI E&S Tamano Works

MES TOKKI & Engineering Co., Ltd (Headquarters: Tamano City, Okayama, President: Toshimasa Hayashi; hereinafter "MTE"), a group company of MITSUI E&S Corporation (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, President: Takeyuki Takahashi), and PowerX,Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku Tokyo, President: Masahiro Ito; hereinafter "PowerX") have started assembling battery units at MITSUI E&S Tamano Works.

MITSUI E&S Tamano Works and the Power X Okayama Battery Factory are located in the same city, Tamano, Okayama. PowerX will have a subcontracted factory for the production of Mega Power (a 20 ft container-type battery unit) near its own factory, and MTE will assemble the battery unit, drawing on its many years of experience in the shipbuilding industry.

MITSUI E&S and PowerX will continue to contribute to the realization of a decarbonized society and the revitalization of local industries.
