Maintenance & Repair
With a team of engineers and supervisors wtih more than 10 years experience in maintenace, repair and modification of our cranes. We can provide the parts, repairs and services needed to improve crane operation efficiency.
Service
- Parts supply
- Maintenance
- Daily maintenance
- Periodic maintenance (monthly, every three months and yearly)
- Maintenance that may be needed to meet government survey requirements - Supervision service
- Repair and modification service
- Consultant service
- Crane inspection and advisory service - Safety
- Limit switch monitoring system
To prevent trouble caused by limit switch malfunctions during trolley traversing and/or boom hoisting, we have developed a limit switch monitoring system. This system consists of a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and additional one limit switch. The PLC continuously monitors the status of all limit switch pairs. If a fault is found, the PLC sends a stop signal to the controller and generates an alarm for the operator. - Anti-collision device
This device was developed to prevent a collision of mutual cranes by the infrared sensor, electromagnetic waves, supersonic waves or laser sensor.
Crane Modernization
MITSUI E&S can modify your existing crane to increase it's performance enabling them to service larger container vessels. Improving operating efficiency and reducing maintanace. Here below are some examples of the modifications we can offer on a full turn key basis.
Performance improvements
- Increased crane lifting height
By lengthening its legs, your crane can be upgraded for use with larger container ships as follows.
- 2nd/3rd generation -> Panamax type
- Panama type -> Post panamax type - Extending outreach (Boom extension)
If your crane is of the twin trolley type, we recommend that you combine it with a single trolley and a recently developed computer controlled electrical anti-sway device. This helps minimize boom extension, while suitably extending the outreach. This means that the increased weight can be controlled to minimize the increase in gantry wheel load. - Increased trolley speed
- Increased main hoisting speed
- Increased rated lifting weight
Recently, many over weight containers exceeding the 30.5 tons ISO regulation are being used. Rated lifting weight can be increased by replacing with a light weight, full range spreader and a modified trolley, without applying any additional load to the gantry wheels.
Operating Support
Monitoring System
- Monitoring and Fault Diagnosis System
MITSUI E&S's monitoring and fault diagnosis system helps identify equipment problems quickly, thereby reducing crane down time and associated maintenance costs. - Crane Monitoring System
Real time Crane Operation and Container handling data is available allowing for an even more efficient operation. (If the analog electric control system is replaced by a digital one, it is very easy to install the above monitoring systems.)
Improvement and Modification of Facilities and Equipment
- Elevator (Lift)
If an elevator is installed to an existing crane, it helps operators and maintenance staff to get up and down crane, improving the working environment and increasing efficiency. - Diesel Engine Generating Set
If you are unfortunately subject to power shortages or break downs, we recommend that you install a containerized diesel engine in-house power generator set, to increase the crane operation rates. - Spreader
A full range of MITSUI-PACECO telescopic spreaders are available to meet all container sizes being handled today. Our telescopic spreaders can provide an excellent performance and reliability, along with an easy to maintain and repair design. We are also able provide light weight telescopic spreaders to meet all container sizes.
Others
- Full maintenance
MITSUI E&S has many proposals of devices and modification to reduce maintenance costs, to facilitate operations and to improve container handling. If you need more information, please do not hesitate to contact us.
