Eco-friendly crane contributes to the Green Ports.

It was in 1968 that MITSUI E&S designed, manufactured and delivered the first Rubber-Tired Gantry crane in Japan to Maya berth, Kobe Port. 
Since then, over 1,600 units of Transtainer® have been delivered to all over the world. Transtainer® is a brand name for Rubber-Tired Gantry crane of  our subsidiary PACECO CORP. which we are in technical cooperation. We have abundant experiences in manufacturing Eco-friendly Hybrid Transtainer® of low emission and also no-emission Electirfied Transitaner®. Advanced technology such as auto steering system and semi-automation will help the operators to handle containers as an optional function.


Main Features

  • Hybrid Transtainer® realizes about 50% higher fuel efficiency compared to conventional type.
  • The Near-Zero-Emission Transtainer®, which went on sale in 2021, has improved fuel efficiency by approximately 20% compared to the hybrid transtainer.  It can be easily retrofitted to a hydrogen-powered, Zero-Emission Transtainer.
  • Electrification by the sytem of Bus-bar and Cable Reel is are available.
  • A variety of options can be selected including safety features such as Anti-collision systems.
  • We are developing remote/automated operation.
