TEN Ghana MV25 B.V Commits $250,000 towards Medical Research in Ghana

Mitsui E&S Holdings Co., Ltd. ("Mitsui E&S") is proud to announce that TEN Ghana MV25 B.V ("MV25 B.V") in which it has 4.9% stake, has signed an MOU committing $250,000 (Two hundred and fifty thousand US dollars) towards health science research in Ghana. This significant donation is specifically in support of the AMED J-Grid Project, a research collaboration between Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research ("NMIMR"), University of Ghana and Tokyo Medical and Dental University.

Mitsui E&S together with its partners MODEC, Inc. ("MODEC"), Mitsui & Co., Ltd. ("Mitsui"), Marubeni Corporation ("Marubeni"), and Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. ("MOL"), is jointly carrying out a long-term charter business for FPSO Prof. John Evans Atta Mills, a Floating Production, Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel, deployed at the Tweneboa, Enyenra and Ntomme ("TEN") fields around 60 km offshore Western Ghana. Named after former President of Ghana, FPSO Prof. John Evans Atta Mills is installed in the Deepwater Tano contract area where water depth averages 1,500m, and has been in its operation since 2016.

NMIMR was established to honor Japanese bacteriologist, Dr. Hideyo Noguchi who contracted yellow fever and deceased in Ghana in 1928 during his research on the very disease. MV25 B.V and the partners believe that supporting medical research in Ghana through NMIMR further builds alignment between Japan and Ghana.
