Big order from Yilport - Thirteen (13) Container Handling Cranes for Turkey and Sweden

In November 2019, Mitsui E&S Machinery Co., Ltd. (President: Takeyuki Takahashi) received a big order from Yilport (Yilport Holding Inc.) in Turkish to supply four (4) ship-to-shore (STS) cranes and six (6) electrified rubber-tyred gantry (RTG) cranes to their Gemlik Terminal in Turkey and three (3) ship-to-shore (STS) cranes to their Gavle Terminal in Sweden.

Yilport is a wholly owned subsidiary of Yildirim Holding Inc., which operates imports and exports of coal, iron ore, and fertilizer as well as other shipping and port businesses. Yilport is one of the largest container terminal operators with five (5) local terminals in Turkey, to which Mitsui E&S has already delivered twelve (12) STS cranes and thirty-sixe (36) RTG cranes. They also operate other 16 terminals in 8 oversea' countries globally.

The four (4) STS cranes to Gemlik on order will have 23 rows outreach to enable handling 18,000TEU vessels. The other three (3) STS cranes to Gavle on order will have 22 rows outreach to enable handling 14,000TEU vessels, which has semi-automation features equipped with optimum cycle path function as well as truck position system for enhancing efficiency of crane operation contributing to their terminal business.

For Mitsui E&S, this order for Gavle is the first European order of Mitsui-Paceco cranes. Moving forward, Mitsui E&S will aim at business expansion in Europe taking advantage of this achievement.
